Worldly
An offline reference to every country in the world. If something isn't working, or a fact needs correcting, there's a real person at the other end of the links below.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, completely. The entire reference — every country, holiday and date — ships inside the app and is copied to your device the first time you open it. Nothing is fetched while you read.
Why isn't [territory] in here?
The list covers sovereign states — the 193 UN member states plus Vatican City, Palestine and Taiwan — along with Hong Kong. That means places like Macau, Puerto Rico, Greenland and Bermuda aren't included yet, because they're territories rather than countries. If one you need is missing, tell us and we'll look at adding it.
How current is the information?
Figures were compiled as of May 2026, and Settings shows that date. Populations are estimates, and heads of state and government change — sometimes at short notice. If you spot something out of date, email us and it'll be corrected in the next update.
Can I correct a fact myself?
Not in the app. Corrections go into the shared dataset so everyone gets them, rather than only your copy — so send them to us and they'll arrive with an app update.
Where are my bookmarks stored?
On your device, and nowhere else. There's no account and nothing syncs, so deleting the app deletes them. Refreshing the country data in Settings never touches them.
Can I turn off usage tracking?
Yes. Open Settings and switch off Share anonymous usage data. Collection stops straight away and nothing else changes — the reference is offline, so no feature depends on it. Whatever you type into the search box is never sent anywhere, on or off.
What are the buttons under each country?
They switch between five views of the same country: Overview for geography and people, Government for who leads it, Holidays for public holidays and what they mark, History for a summary and dated timeline, and Facts for the rest. Settings lets you choose which one opens first.
Something looks wrong after an update.
Open Settings → Refresh from bundled data, which re-applies the shipped dataset and keeps your bookmarks. If it's still wrong, Reset database rebuilds everything from scratch — that one does clear bookmarks.
Email hello@ptk-studio.com — tell us your iPhone model and iOS version if something is broken, and we'll get back to you.
Spotted a fact that needs correcting? Send the country and what's wrong, and it'll go into the next update.
Short version: the reference is offline, your bookmarks never leave your device, and we don't ask who you are. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
